KEYNOTE
All work and no play...
Who says that business always has to be serious? Living up to this year’s theme, “Business Not As Usual,” ISSA selected renowned American comedian Dr. Bill Cosby as the ISSA/INTERCLEAN® North America 2008 keynote speaker.
During his address, “It’s Your Job To Feel Good,” on Wednesday, September 10, Cosby will ask attendees to put away the financial statements, set aside customer complaints, and join him on a journey to find the true, and often funny, fundamentals of working life. He’ll ponder what the world would be like without our jobs and why more people should focus on the personal side of business, especially in the cleaning industry. According to Cosby, “You better love what you do, otherwise it sure won’t love you.”
Cosby is probably most well known for his starring role as Dr. Cliff Huxtable in the landmark series, “The Cosby Show.” His five-decade career also includes concerts, films, commercials, comedic recordings and books, including “Fatherhood,” “Love and Marriage,” “Childhood,” and his latest release, “Come On People: On the Path From Victims To Victors.” Cosby has also created the animated hits, “Fat Albert,” and “Little Bill.”
Before his comedic career, Cosby enlisted in the U.S. Navy and performed odd jobs including bartending. He has also earned a master’s degree and a doctorate in education from the University of Massachusetts.
Cosby and his wife, Camille, also are dedicated philanthropists, supporting education, social service and civil rights organizations.
“It’s Your Job To Feel Good” will be begin at 8:30 a.m.
