Windy City Texas Hold ‘Em Tournament
Before the official start of ISSA/INTERCLEAN, attendees can go “all in” and test their poker skills and luck in Texas Hold ‘Em style tournament on Monday, Oct. 15. The tournament runs from 6:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. For novices, a poker tutorial starts at 5:30 p.m. Professional tables and dealers will be provided and prizes include an iPad, Nook color, gift cards and more. Registration is $125 with the proceeds benefiting the ISSA Foundation Scholarship Program.
Lunch and Learn: The Importance of Cleaning and Disinfecting
On Tuesday, Oct. 16 from noon – 1:15 p.m. all members of the industry can network over lunch. During the meal, Jan Matthews, head of cleaning and catering for the London 2012 Olympic Games will share the cleaning and disinfecting lessons she learned from this summer’s world-wide athletics competition. Mathews will also discuss how a clean environment will have lasting impressions on customers and how to ensure compliance when hiring subcontractors. Bring your questions because a Q&A will follow at the end.
Show Floor Happy Hour
After a busy day at the trade show unwind with drinks, appetizers music and fun. On Thursday, Oct. 18 from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., attend a Happy Hour right on the show floor featuring '80s cover band 16 Candles. During the performance ISSA will present the ISSA Innovation Awards.
Recharge Lounge
Attendees can rest their feet and check in with the office back home in the Recharge Lounge located at booth 2841. Computer terminals are available to access the Internet or print boarding passes for the flight home. Throughout the show floor, cellphone recharge stations are available to charge portable devices.
ISSA Zone Sports Bar
Anytime during show hours attendees can take a break and chat with fellow sports fans at the ISSA Zone on the trade show floor. This area features a full-service bar serving soft drinks and alcoholic beverages. Six televisions broadcast continuous sports coverage, so attendees will be able to check scores and highlights from their favorite teams. Located at booth 1802.
