James E. Purcell Leadership Award
This prestigious award, presented annually by BSCAI, is given in recognition of long-time service to the association and the building service contracting industry. The previous year’s BSCAI President is honored with this award.

Winner: Kevin Rohan, CBSE
Kevin Rohan CBSE, CEO of Cavalier Services, Inc. has been in the building service contracting industry since 1975. The 2013 BSCAI President has been involved with the association as a director, committee member and chair, as well as a speaker on a variety of industry presentations. Since being founded by Rohan in 1977, Cavalier has become one of the leading companies in the industry, most of that success can be attributed to its membership in BSCAI.


Walter L. Cook Award for Distinguished Service
This award is presented to a BSCAI member who has made outstanding contributions in furthering the programs and image of the association and the building service contracting industry.

Winner: Frank S. Wardzinski, CBSE
Frank S. Wardzinski joined BRAVO! Group Services in 2001 as Managing Director and was promoted to Executive Vice President in 2005 with additional responsibilities of executing strategic acquisitions and partnerships. Frank was promoted to the role of Chief Operating Officer of BRAVO! Group Services in 2011. He assists the President/CEO on budgeting, cash flow, infrastructure investment priorities and policy matters, and maintains continuous lines of communication, keeping the President informed of all critical challenges. Wardzinski earned the designation of Certified Building Service Executive (CBSE) in 2006. He currently serves on several committees and is a proud supporter of the association.


Arthur C. Barraclough Community Service Award
This award recognizes volunteer efforts and generous acts for charities and the community.

Winner: ESS Clean, Inc.
ESS Clean, Inc., led by Paul Taylor, has been in business for 20 years, and, since the beginning, serving the community has been a priority. Eight years ago, ESS created the Five Stones Foundation to award college scholarships annually to employees and their children. Thirty-two scholarships have been awarded since 2009. Last year, ESS was made aware of a need for a women’s prison ministry in Champaign, Illinois. ESS selected this ministry for its annual community service project, and the ESS team rallied to renovate a flooded house to be used as a women’s shelter.


BSCAI Building Service Employee of the Year Award
The Building Service Employee of the Year Award honors the building service contracting employee whose job performance, work ethic, civic involvement and family role best exemplify qualities found in superior custodial employees.

Winner: Ronnie Ramos, FBG Service Corporation
Since joining FBG in 2012, Ronnie Ramos has used the knowledge and experience he gained from operating his own landscape business. As the Groundskeeper and Day Lead for the 40-story First National Tower in downtown Omaha, Nebraska, it is his responsibility to ensure that the facility looks great inside and out. Neither rain, nor heat, nor gloom of night can sway Ramos’s positive attitude, which has become his trademark. He appreciates hard work and being part of an exceptional team. Ramos demonstrates dedication, pride and ownership in all he does. FBG is privileged to call him an employee owner.


New Member of the Year Award
This award recognizes a new member company that has exhibited an active involvement in BSCAI through its committee involvement, event attendance, participation in the certification program, regional event attendance, and an overall active involvement and positive impact on BSCAI.

Winner: Bright Way Commercial Cleaning
At Bright Way Commercial Cleaning, they believe in friendly, reliable service that reflects their customer’s image and values. Bright Way’s core beliefs are determined by how much more it gives in value to their customers than it takes in payment. Its direct involvement with BSCAI has contributed toward its growth in South Florida. The founders, Rick Iacona (pictured) and Mitchell Bobrow, together with their valued employees, would like to thank BSCAI and its members for this meaningful award and are extremely grateful to say we belong to this exceptional organization.


Industry Service Award
The Industry Service Award is presented to a company who has provided long-time service to the association and building service contractor companies.

Winner: Sealed Air Diversey Care
Sealed Air’s Diversey Care division is honored to be selected by the BSCAI Awards Committee as the winner of the BSCAI Industry Service Award. This award is a testament to Sealed Air’s continuous contribution and dedication to BSCAI and the Building Service Contractor Industry. The well-being of people everywhere depends on a sustainable world. Sealed Air’s Diversey Care division offers solutions for infection prevention, kitchen hygiene, fabric care, building care and consulting. Sealed Air is creating a better way for life by reducing its carbon footprint and re-imagining customer solutions, including enhancing efficiencies of offices and manufacturing facilities.


Skip Marsden Education Excellence Award
The Skip Marsden Education Excellence Award recognizes companies who promote leaders from within their organizations. Companies receiving this award demonstrate an overall commitment to growth and development by investing in education and training of their employees.

Winner: IH Services, Inc.
IH Services, Inc. is being awarded the Skip Marsden Award for Educational Excellence for its continued commitment to the education and training of its employees. IH Services, Inc. ranks first in having the most active Certified Building Service Executives (CBSE) within its company and ranks among the top three companies for having the most active Registered Building
Service Manager (RBSM) certified employees. IH Services, Inc. has been members of BSCAI since 1980 and it continually shows its support for BSCAI by registering multiple employees for BSCAI events each year, including the Annual Conference, CEO Seminar and Executive Management Conference.


President’s Award
Lyle Graddon and Barney Gershen earned the 2015 President’s Award in recognition for their leadership in the execution of regional social events for BSCAI.


Image Awards
This series of awards recognizes companies who have excelled in enhancing the image of their businesses, which has in turn enhanced the image of our industry to the customer, as well as the general public.
