The BSCAI CLEAN Awards demonstrate the best in excellence among different building service contractors and various categories. From new members to business leadership, all forms of distinction are recognized. These prestigious awards began in 1967 with the James E. Purcell award. Today, BSCAI offers recognition in 11 different categories:
Image Award: BSCAI recognizes companies that have excelled in enhancing the image of their businesses.
Safety Award: As part of BSCAI’s on-going effort to promote safety throughout the association and industry, BSCAI awards the company with the best safety record.
Cleaning for Health (Since 2017): The purpose of the Cleaning for Health Award is to recognize BSCAI Building Service Contractors that have Cleaning for Health programs.
Skip Marsden Award for Educational Excellence (Since 2015): The Skip Marsden Education Excellence Award is given to companies who promote leaders from within their organizations, and demonstrate an overall commitment to growth and development by investing in education and training of their employees.
New Member of the Year (Since 2014): BSCAI recognizes a new member company that has exhibited active participation in BSCAI through their committee involvement, event attendance, participation in the certification program, regional event attendance and an overall positive impact on BSCAI.
Arthur C. Barraclough Company Community Service Award (Since 2007): This award recognizes companies for their volunteer effort for charities and the community.
Walter L. Cook Award for Distinguished Service (Since 1977): This distinguished award is presented to the BSCAI member who has made outstanding contributions in furthering the programs and image of the association and the building service contracting industry.
Industry Service Award (Since 1976): The Industry Service Award is presented in recognition of long-term service to the association by a company not engaged in building service contracting.
Building Service Employee of the Year Award (Since 1972): The Building Service Employee of the Year Award honors an employee whose job performance, civic involvement and family role best exemplify qualities found in superior custodial employees. The winner of the award will receive a round-trip coach airfare, registration and hotel to the BSCAI Contracting Success conference.
Contracting Profits Emerging Leader Award (Since 2019): This award presented by the association’s official publication recognizes the future of the industry: an outstanding building service contractor or someone on the executive management team that is 40 years old or younger.
James E. Purcell Leadership Award (Since 1967): The James E. Purcell Leadership Award is the most prestigious award presented each year by BSCAI to the immediate past BSCAI President.
