BSCAI Class Helps Industry Members

BSCAI is excited to announce the launch of the new Bidding and Estimating Course, now available online! Both members and nonmembers can take advantage of this brand-new online course, designed to provide you with real-life examples of bidding and estimating. Available on the BSCAI Knowledge Center (www.bscai.org/knowledge), users can access the course from the comfort of their home or office and leverage the flexibility to take this course on their own time.

This four-part course will help you cover the key aspects of bidding and estimating.
1. Production Rates: Learn about the formulas and variables that affect production rates as well as what tasks are normal for a commercial building.
2. Applying Production Rates: Discover how to apply the production rates to your daily life through workloading.
3. Request for Proposals (RFP): Address the RFP process with the guidance of subject matter experts who will provide several hands-on examples.
4. Job Costing: Understand the method of recording the costs of the job, how the process is calculated and how you can then apply this to your company.

Upon completion, users will receive a certificate of completion as well as earn one point toward their CBSE recertification. In addition, they will gain access to a case study that can be reviewed on their own time to help keep their bidding and estimating knowledge fresh.
