Autoscrubbers Getting Smaller

Cleaning personnel might notice an emerging trend popping up in facilities across the country. That is, smaller automatic scrubbers. These machines, which can have a cleaning path as small as 10 inches, give cleaning personnel the flexibility to clean in smaller rooms, narrow aisles and in tight corners.

Not only does a small scrubber replace a mop and bucket in a small space, it is also a more effective way of cleaning. Instead of redistributing dirty water back onto the floor with a mop and bucket, a floor scrubber puts down clean water and the floor dries quicker, which promotes safety.

By automating the floor cleaning process, the smaller machines allow for significant savings, too. And with many cleaning departments now expected to clean more with less staff, an opportunity to mechanize a manual process can help cleaning managers justify the upfront cost of a new floor machine.
