Despite the growing popularity of microfiber flat mops, for many end users traditional cotton string mops are still king.

When cleaning up large amounts of liquids, microfiber heads become saturated too quickly. Cotton string mops are better suited to clean up spills or puddles from melting snow or leaking pipes.

The type of floor also matters when choosing a mop head. String mops are able to clean grout lines in between floor tiles and work better on corrugated flooring.
