The 2024 BSCAI Contracting Success Conference, held in the heart of Las Vegas, welcomed over 700 attendees eager to connect, learn, and share insights across the commercial and contract cleaning industry. Hosted at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, this year’s event provided an energizing environment where business owners, industry experts, and professionals gathered to strengthen their knowledge and expand their networks.
Attendees had ample opportunities to engage in meaningful conversations with peers, connect with trusted partners, and explore new solutions. The conference also provided focused networking roundtables, fostering space for in-depth discussions among peers and colleagues on topics like workforce challenges, technology integration, and customer service strategies.

Educational sessions catered to the specific needs of building service professionals. Day one focused on a suite of seminars, from the Bidding and Estimating series, to Plateaus of Growth, Productivity and Supervision. Seminars set the stage for the hands-on learning that would take place throughout the rest of the week.
Breakout sessions focused on some of the most pressing issues the industry is facing today, from funding growth in a high-interest rate environment, to employee retention tactics heading into 2025, integrating AI into your business, best practices for gaining customer loyalty in a competitive market, data-driven insights for winning over customers and more.
Keynote speakers anchored the event, giving attendees plenty to think about. Neil Hoyne, author and chief strategist at Google, presented “Converted: The Data-Driven Way to Win Customers’ Hearts,” Hoyne drew on experience from his 20-year career, serving at the forefront of strategies that have generated $6 billion in revenue for Google and helped the world’s biggest advertisers improve conversion rates by over 400 percent.
Closing out the week, Dr. Anand Lalwani, founder and CEO of Cardinal Robotics, and Dr. Cass Shum, associate professor in hospitality organizational behavior at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, presented “Battle of the Bots: To Use or Not?” Attendees learned about the evolution of robotics over the last 50 years, as well as the latest scientific research on the technology and the psychological effects it has on staff and customers.
Contracting Success 2024 underscored its value once again as an essential event for leaders in the building services sector. Attendees left with practical strategies, inspiring connections, and fresh ideas to advance their businesses into the future.
