When we ask our readers about their favorite parts of Contracting Profits, the product section frequently tops their lists. Our savvy subscribers want to stay abreast of emerging cleaning innovations and improvements to existing technologies.
This month, we bring building service contractors even more of what they want, in our debut installment of the “What’s New?” section. In this special cover feature, we present more than 60 cleaning tools, chemicals and equipment introduced in the last year.
But, there’s always room for improvement, so we asked BSCs what products they’d like to see next. The responses were diverse, ranging from do-it-all chemicals to battery vacuums to payroll software, but contractors seem to want one thing in common efficiency. They desire products that will enable them, or their employees, to get more done in less time.
This makes sense, given today’s marketplace of shrinking client budgets, illegal subcontracting and high energy and insurance costs. Margins are tight, and products that can safely and effectively improve productivity and reduce labor costs will be big sellers.
