Product Change Improves Floor Care Process

Aramark Facility Services, Philadelphia, provides facilities management, food and operations and maintenance services and programs to corporate, industrial, correctional and transportation clients. However, the company wanted to expand its offerings by partnering with an innovative and reputable company. In identifying a partner, Aramark needed to ensure that this company would not only provide the latest advancements in cleaning technology, but also offer more efficient and consistent product solutions for its customers.

The building service contractor identified 3M Commercial Solutions Division, St. Paul, Minnesota, as a partner for its steadfast commitment to producing high-quality and reliable products, in addition to its extensive product offerings. Working together, Aramark and 3M identified three products that would best support the BSC’s needs: 3M Stone Floor Protection System, 3M Stainless Steel Cleaner and Protector with Scotchgard, and Scotch-Brite Clean & Shine Pads. These products not only provide efficient and consistent results, but also support sustainability efforts, clean without damaging surfaces, and streamline processes.

Aramark reduced the frequency of coating floors from once a year to once every three to five years by utilizing 3M Stone Floor Protection System. The full floor care process not only restores the look of the original flooring, but also provides longevity in its shine. 

Stainless steel surfaces are difficult to maintain and can often get damaged in the cleaning process. The 3M Stainless Steel Cleaner and Protector with Scotchgard provides Aramark with a solution that removes fingerprints and scuffs on stainless steel surfaces without leaving a trace or a scratch.

3M provides a diverse offering of floor care products, and with floor care being a large part of Aramark’s business, it’s crucial to use premium products. Scotch-Brite Clean & Shine Pads shine the floor while cleaning, eliminating the need to burnish. These pads are also long-lasting and double-sided with a wear indicator which helps Aramark prolong the need for replacement.

The close partnership between Aramark and 3M set the groundwork for success, and Aramark continues to rely on 3M’s technologies and products to provide its clients with the latest innovation to meet client needs.
