ISSA is pleased to announce that two new groups of individuals have achieved certification as official Cleaning Industry Management Standard (CIMS) ISSA Certification Experts (I.C.E.). The addition of these 80 new I.C.E. professionals brings the total count to more than 600 certified experts. I.C.E.-certified experts are uniquely positioned to lead customers or their own organization through the CIMS and CIMS-Green Building — or GB — certification process by offering training and consulting services on a top-management and operations level. I.C.E.-certification poises these professionals as indispensable resources who are prepared to champion the development of quality, customer-focused, and sustainable organizations.
ISSA will host a third and final I.C.E. workshop in conjunction with ISSA/INTERCLEAN® North America. Specifically, the session will take place on November 8-9 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL. Make the Green Connection!
As the number of green initiatives continues to skyrocket at state and federal levels, ISSA has launched a number of programs to help you stay current with the latest regulations and trends. One of these initiatives, the ISSA Green Connections Center (GCC), made its successful debut at last year's ISSA/INTERCLEAN® show in Chicago, IL, The GCC returns this November to ISSA/INTERCLEAN North America 2010, in Orlando, FL (November 9-12), specifically setting out to illustrate the industry's mission of connecting cleaning, science, and health. The GCC brings together industry leaders to showcase the latest technology, certifications, advocacy efforts, and government regulations. In Orlando, the GCC will again feature a full-size mock restroom and classroom that will host a variety of green-product demonstrations all three days the trade show floor is open (November 10-12).
Additionally, the center will include green-product displays in the popular Green Product Showcase, pertinent industry-research reports and case studies in the ISSA Resource Library, and a host of government agencies, certifying bodies, and industry consultants to offer information and answer your questions in the Green Pavilion. In 2009, the GCC's mock classroom and restroom areas hosted more than 30 live demonstrations from a variety of cleaning-product manufacturers. The Green Product Showcase included 38 product displays while the Green Pavilion featured 13 exhibitors, such as Green Seal®, EcoLogoM, and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. In total, over 50 organizations participated as GCC supporters at Visionary, Innovative, and Industry levels.
