I’m a people person. I like being around people and I like working with other people. Before the world changed, that meant interacting with my readers at trade shows and holding brainstorming meetings with my coworkers. Social distancing is not my idea of a good time.
Like everyone else, over the past couple months, I’ve been forced to adjust. Now, in light of this pandemic, I’ve counted on technology to keep me connected to people. Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Zoom platforms and a handful of similar programs have made that possible. Now I don’t have to wait for a live event to network with readers and exchange ideas. I can turn on my camera, invite readers into my home and interact with hundreds of facility cleaning executives.
That’s exactly the goal of the Cleaning Summit — Virtual, coming up on June 24. From the comfort of your homes or offices, this virtual/online event allows you to stay connected with other experts in this industry, exchange best practices and discuss initiatives to reopening facilities in a safe and healthy way.
Last year we debuted this regional program built on strong education and networking opportunities at the Harley-Davidson Museum in Milwaukee. Now with COVID-19, we are offering a virtual event easily accessible and available to facility cleaning managers across the country. Using Zoom technology, we will showcase how this pandemic has changed the way the world views cleaning and put a spotlight on the importance of this industry.
This four-hour digital workshop will include three specific education classes focusing on process and procedural changes in a post-pandemic world, where to adjust budgets and how to get buy-in from executives pinching the purse strings. There will also be time to break out into small virtual groups throughout the event for workshop and networking discussions. And finally, we’ll feature three short sessions on products and techniques that departments should consider as part of their program.
Whether you’re like me and crave interaction with other professionals or you’re simply looking for advice on where to go from here in your cleaning programs, I hope you’ll join me for this event. Register at www.CleanLink.com/cleaningsummitvirtual2020 and mark your calendars for June 24.
I’ll see you there!
