My fiancé and I are currently in the market for a new, obscenely large television. After a lengthy search, we think we finally found what we want at two different stores. But, instead of just going in and forking over the cash, we are weighing our options and evaluating what more we can get for our money. After all, the added “incentives” associated with such a big purchase can determine where one decides to spend their money.
Added value should be considered when making any big purchase, especially those from your distributor. It is important to ask yourself, “What value-added services does my distributor offer?” “Could I get better service elsewhere?”
Click here to read about what some cleaning managers are doing to keep costs low, while tapping into the various services provided by their cleaning distributors. Distributors also talk about the services they offer, as well as provide tips for cleaning managers regarding questions to ask their local supplier.
Practicing what we preach, Housekeeping Solutions introduces added value for readers with the introduction of the Market By Market column. It debuted in the February issue and targeted one of our six major reader segments — education.
In this issue, the Market By Market column focuses on health care and what cleaning managers should be aware of in order to meet regulations enforced by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Health and Safety Administration.
Moving forward, the Market By Market column will focus on government, commercial, retail and hospitality markets. Turn to the back page of every issue to review the trends facing your specific market.
