Enviro-Solutions announces the start of Going Enviral Greener Schools Video Challenge 2012, a contest conducted at the company’s Facebook page.

The contest, which will be open to school children grades 7 through 12th throughout North America, invites participants to send in videos describing how they can make their schools Greener and more sustainable.
It will run until June 1, 2012.

Voting for the winning video will begin on June 2 with the winner announced on July 15, 2012. The winning video will be selected by Facebook visitors as well as an in-house panel of judges.

The winning student(s) will receive $500 and their school will receive $500 worth of Enviro-Solutions Green cleaning chemicals.

All rules and regulations as well as easy instructions on how to enter the contest and upload videos are available at the company’s Facebook site.

“We are also asking our distributors, DSRs, and other company reps to invite school principals, student councils, and other groups to help promote the contest,” says Mike Sawchuk, vice president and general manager of Enviro-Solutions. “Virtually all of them market to schools already so we are expecting a pretty good response.”

Sawchuk adds that ultimately, the goal of the contest is to get students more and more focused on Green and sustainable issues. “These kids are our future,” he says. “The more focused they are on Green and sustainable issues now, the Greener and more sustainable the world will be tomorrow.”
