Sealed Air’s Diversey business announced that five Building Service Contractors (BSCs) were certified through its HHPC Day Training Academy, held March 5-7 at Diversey’s Sturtevant, Wis. headquarters. The event included cleaning industry experts and BSCs who highlighted how to implement, manage and market successful day cleaning programs using a Healthy High Performance Cleaning (HHPC) system. The newly-certified BSCs include Marsden Building Maintenance, Service Management Group, Sun Services, SBM Site Services and Innovative Cleaning Services. Previously-certified companies, Eurest Services and McLemore Building Maintenance, also sent staff members to attain training.
“Transitioning cleaning from late-night shifts to daytime hours offers numerous benefits, including increased productivity, improved employee morale and lower energy costs,” says Rob Kohlhagen, executive director of the HHPC Day Academy. “Providing formal training and certification through the HHPC Day Academy allows more BSCs to adopt this ideal approach to sustainable facility maintenance.”
The recent event included sessions led by experienced facility managers, industry consultants and Diversey’s in-house cleaning experts. Participants learned about innovative tools, machines and chemicals for day cleaning, ways to motivate property managers to switch from night to day cleaning and the role of online training for educating teams.
HHPC Day Certified Contractors utilize Diversey toolkits that include operations and staff training materials, online training courses, marketing materials and client communications to accelerate the adoption of day cleaning programs.
“As interest in day cleaning grows, property managers need to have access to service providers who are knowledgeable about day cleaning and its benefits,” adds Kohlhagen. “The HHPC Day Academy provides BSCs the skills necessary to create and operate effective day cleaning programs for their customers.”
