In the world of building service contractors, efficiency and quality service are key. As the leading regional provider of quality janitorial and facility services, Frantz Building Services (FBS) wanted to ensure it was reaching full optimization within its supply chain. Without it, the company’s aptitude to meet the complex needs of its customers with the highest degree of excellence, a definitive piece of the FBS core values, would have been placed in jeopardy.
With frustrations building due to a lack of support and training on new jan/san products from local distribution, FBS began to feel its team may not be armed with the knowledge and expertise required to make effective purchasing decisions. In addition to disappointing distributor involvement, FBS was experiencing a real need for a streamlined ordering process. With decentralized ordering, billing, and a multitude of unnecessary SKUs in their system, FBS realized there was room for considerable improvement when it came to purchasing processes and systems.
The Solution
Aware of the issues, AFFLINK business development manager Rob Dunn, together with Danny Gray of Consolidated Paper Group, introduced proprietary solutions that FBS has successfully implemented. Utilizing AFFLINK's cutting-edge tool, eLev8, Dunn and Gray were able to analyze FBS’s current processes, needs, and objectives to assist the VP of operations, Brian Lewis, in making more informed purchasing decisions.
Lewis notes, “The eLev8 information and report was extremely helpful and allowed us to see potential real-world savings.”
FBS also began using AFFLINK's new Shopfront online ordering platform.
“Shopfront allows all of FBS’s locations to use the same ordering system/process,” says Lewis. “[It] has allowed us to really streamline our procurement process.”
With these solutions in place, all that remained was the much-needed support of local distributors for each FBS location. Several AFFLINK members stepped up to the plate and have helped FBS move forward.
