3M has announced the winners of its 29th annual Occupational Health and Safety Scholarship program, which recognizes outstanding students pursuing a graduate degree in occupational health and safety or industrial hygiene. With this program, 3M awards each winner a $5,000 scholarship and attendance to the 2015 American Industrial Hygiene conference & exposition (AIHce) in Salt Lake City May 30-June 4, 2015.
The 2015 3M Occupational Health and Safety Scholarship winners are:
• Danielle Payne - University of Oklahoma
• Josh Reed - Murray State University
• Stephanie Caler - University of Arizona
Scholarship winners were chosen for their extraordinary academic accomplishments, contributions to the profession and intent to pursue careers in Occupational Health and Safety. Winners were chosen by a selection committee comprised of 3M management and corporate Industrial Hygienists.
“For continued growth and innovation in Occupational Health and Safety, it is essential to support the industry’s future professionals,” said Nicole Vars McCullough, PhD, CIH, and 3M Global Technical Services Manager (and winner of 3M’s 1994 Industrial Hygiene Scholarship Award). “We were impressed with the accomplished and talented submissions the program received, and are optimistic about the industry’s outlook if these applicants are representative of our future workforce.”
