National Service Alliance (NSA), a purchasing organization for larger building service contractors and related businesses, has just completed a general meeting and awards dinner, held this year in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Members and vendors alike were recognized for their years of association with NSA. At the event, the following NSA Special Awards were announced:
 • Guy Hignite with Sprint and Richard Kiley with SupplyWorks received the "Above and Beyond" Award. This award honors vendor representatives who have gone to extra lengths in their efforts to support NSA members and the group as a whole.
 • The "Share the Love" Award was given to Todd Hopkins of Office Pride Commercial Cleaning Services, Trey Shindell with Nilfisk, and Bob Weintraub CEO of Service Management Group LLC. This award honors those companies and organization that have most successfully promoted the benefits of NSA to other organizations and referred other companies to NSA.
 • Jeff Stone of ProTeam was presented with the "Go Getter" Award for achieving the quickest growth of a member program.

Included in the event was a member meeting which focused on reporting and purchase audits. The goal of this educational program was to give members a better understanding of how using these critical tools will maximize their purchasing potential.

"The information covered at the meeting was exceptionally valuable," says Olon Hyde of Office Pride. "What I most appreciated was listening and discussing these issues with other [NSA] members. This really can't be duplicated in any other format than in meetings such as this."

Approximately 100 people attended the event, according to Terry Sambrowski, executive director of NSA. "We are continually looking for new ways to help members grow their businesses and based on the feedback we've received, this was one of our most successful events."
