Agilex Fragrances announced its intention to build a “state of the art” manufacturing center that will allow it to maintain industry leading levels of service and quality far into the future.

During the first quarter of 2017, Agilex will commission a new production facility in Franklin Township, Somerset County, NJ. This 60,000 square foot plant will utilize automated compounding technology and flexible manufacturing processes to ensure continued support for the ever-changing needs of its diverse customer base. Also, this project should create 15-20 new jobs for the state of New Jersey.

As a result of this decision, Agilex’s two existing plants will eventually close and move to the new Franklin Township, NJ location. The first, located in Canton, GA is scheduled to cease operations by the end of February of 2017. At some point in the future, much of the Branchburg, NJ equipment and staff will relocate to the new site.

Agilex President & CEO Ray Hughes stated, “After a long and thoughtful planning process, we have decided to consolidate into a single manufacturing plant that can service our portfolio of large and middle market clients, as well as the ‘early stage brands’ that drive innovation in the consumer product fragrance world. Everything about this building, from the design and layout to the equipment and the staffing, is intended to maintain service levels to our long-time, loyal customers while allowing us to attract new clients. As an organization offering ‘big company resources with small company values’, Agilex Fragrances is a very attractive partner.”

The Agilex Fragrances manufacturing facility in Zhaoqing, China and the Creative Center in Piscataway, NJ are unaffected by this plan.
