Hillyard, a manufacturer and distributor of institutional cleaning products and Golden Star, a manufacturer of professional mopping equipment, have combined efforts to provide cleaning supplies and equipment for the Louisiana flood relief effort. In addition to mopping supplies and equipment being provided by Golden Star, Hillyard is sending disinfectants, cleaning solutions, hand sanitizers, and squeegees to Louisiana.

The donation is part of a larger relief effort being coordinated by Second Harvest, an organization dedicated to its vision of providing a hunger-free Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas.

According to Jim Carolus, President of Hillyard, "in 1993, our northwest Missouri community was impacted by the devastating floods that covered the midwest. The 1993 floods resulted in the loss of life and over $15 billion dollars of property damage. At that time, our suppliers and the rest of the country stepped up to help. We remember. As a family business when we have the opportunity to pay it forward, we do it. This is a time when we can help the people of Louisiana and we are honored to be a part of the efforts by Golden Star and Second Harvest."
