Tacony Corporation recently announced that they will be relocating all Tacony Commercial Floor Care (CFC) division operations to Fort Worth, Texas in early February 2017. After a combined 62-year tenure, Michael Schaffer (37 years) and Gary Cirone (25 years) have decided not to make the move. The president and executive vice president, respectively, will be leaving the organization at the time of the relocation to pursue other career and business opportunities.
In a letter to their dealers, partners and suppliers, Schaffer and Cirone had the following to say:
It has been an absolute pleasure to serve you while growing Tornado to one of the premier cleaning equipment brands in the industry. As former owners, it has also been an enormous privilege to lead Tornado through the years, guiding the company through the sale to Tacony, and being part of the tremendous growth and exciting product introductions that have occurred.
As we look ahead to the next chapter of our lives, we’re confident that the team we have been part of building will continue to execute Tornado’s strategy and build on the excellent reputation the brand has earned since 1927. There is also no question in our mind that Tacony CFC will enjoy continued success in the future. It’s a great company, built around a great group of people, with great customers and suppliers.
Looking back over the years, we are proud to say that we have been able to conduct the vast majority of our business relationships with customers and suppliers in the manner of friends. We thank you for making that possible, for your support and friendship, and we encourage you to continue supporting Tornado and Tacony CFC.
