Reinforcing its position as the world’s biggest and most popular event for the professional cleaning industry, it is announced that the next ISSA/INTERCLEAN Amsterdam exhibition in 2018 will occupy twelve halls of the RAI Amsterdam for the first time.

This increase to the show’s floor area further emphasizes the need for both exhibitors and attendees to plan their visits well in advance for maximum opportunity to meet and network at the event.

“The fact that the floor space is already 85% sold as of late November 2016, and is expected to sell out within weeks, confirms that it was the correct decision to expand the show and represents a substantial vote of confidence from our exhibitors and partners,” explained RAI Amsterdam’s ISSA/INTERCLEAN Show Manager Rob den Hertog.

Den Hertog also revealed that following high levels of visitor interest in waste management and laundry products at the 2016 event, in 2018 there will be dedicated new Laundry and Waste Management sections within the show. Another innovation led by visitor feedback will be that the Washrooms area will be expanded from two to three halls. He said: “As organizers, we are sure that the inclusion of the Laundry and Waste Management segments, together with some additions to the overall exhibition programme that have yet to be announced, will deliver an even richer experience for everyone that attends – visitors and exhibitors alike.”

In a separate development, it is also announced that the ISSA/INTERCLEAN Exhibition Committee has been updated and includes the addition of David Overell, Managing Director of Truvox International and Chairman of the Joint Products Export Group (JPEG) in the United Kingdom.

The ISSA/INTERCLEAN Exhibition Committee is an advisory board, established in ISSA/INTERCLEAN 's inaugural year 1967, consisting of executives of both exhibiting and visiting companies. The Exhibition Committee acts as an advisory board helping to shape the successful format and future of ISSA/INTERCLEAN Amsterdam shows.

The full Executive Committee now comprises: Roberto Berardi from the European Tissue Symposium; Michele Redi, IPC Ready System; David Scholes representing INPACS/Nationwide Hygiene Group; Paul Wonnacott, Vectair Systems; Frank Vancrayeveld, Werner & Mertz Professional; Thomas Kyburz, Wetrok; Rob den Hertog, RAI Amsterdam; Dianna Steinbach, ISSA; and David Overell.  The Executive Committee is chaired by Bas Dalm, Senior Vice President International Exhibitions & Sales at RAI Amsterdam.

Over the years, ISSA/INTERCLEAN has become increasingly relevant for hygiene professionals operating within the service industry who are looking to gain entry into, or secure partners within, the cleaning and maintenance marketplace. In response to this trend, ISSA/INTERCLEAN Amsterdam 2018 has also confirmed that it will be partnering with selected hospitality, food and hotel media brands and running advertising campaigns across print and digital media to ensure that hygiene professionals are fully aware what the event has to offer.
