NFMT is free industry event that takes place March 7-9 in Baltimore. Registration includes access to more than 120 educational sessions, entry to the industry's largest FM Expo Hall, facility tours, networking events and the opening night networking party.
One of the 120 educational offerings at this year's National Facilities Management & Technology (NFMT) event is a seminar on best practices for improving healthcare infrastructure.
With an increasing emphasis on population health — and the complex connections among people, their health and their environment — healthcare executives are making it a strategic priority to improve aging infrastructure. Using successful best practice case studies, the presenter will describe how administrators at leading healthcare organizations developed a systematic approach to undertaking improvements. The presentation will describe how to develop a business impact decision matrix as part of the capital allocation process. This matrix will take into account an organizations’ balance on cost, quality, and service. Attendees also will learn about potential options for financing facility improvements.
Learning objectives include:
1. Learn how to prioritize capital expenditures in consideration of aging infrastructure and population management
2. Assess how building a business impact analysis on facility upgrades aligns with an organizations key performance indicators
3. Identify various options for financing facility improvements
4. Learn how to successfully present proposed solutions to gain project approval from hospital administrators
The session, scheduled for March 8 at 9 a.m. (EST), will be given by Jeff Light, FACHE, Director, Strategy and Business Development for Trane.
The event will be held in Baltimore on March 7-9, 2017.
