Nominations are being accepted for the 2017 Green Difference Awards. The deadline for nominations is April 7, 2017, and the winners will be honored at an event at the Massachusetts State House in May.

The Project Green Schools' awards recognizes outstanding national environmental education and STEM education efforts in schools and communities.

Approximately 25 awards are given annually in areas including:

• Outstanding Green Superintendent/Principal

• Outstanding Commitment to Greenovation [GREEN + STEM + Innovation]

• Outstanding School-led Project in Energy

A Sustainability Award for an outstanding environmental education program with a proven track record of five or more years is also given.
