The International Executive Housekeepers Association (IEHA), a leading non-profit organization providing education and resources to individuals who manage professional cleaning operations, announced its 2017 Spring Webinar Series. The series will consist of four, hour-long online educational sessions.
The 2017 Spring Webinar Series schedule includes:
March 24 - “The Cost of Making Mistakes” by Ben Walker, Director of Business Development, ManageMen
As the saying goes, “it’s the little things that count.” In some cases, it can be the little things that escalate into a big financial burden on your department. In this presentation, we’ll teach you how to identify areas that could turn into a money pit and help you run a more efficient (and cost-effective!) cleaning operation.
April 14 - “Sustainability: What Is It and What Does It Mean for My Organization?” by Stephen Ashkin, Consultant
Too often, cleaning professionals hear the word “sustainability” and immediately think of green cleaning products. But the reality is that sustainability goes well beyond products - it means working in a way that has social, environmental and financial benefits. In this session, we'll cover what sustainability is, why you should care about it, how you can be more sustainable and strategies for communicating your sustainability efforts beyond your department.
May 18 - “Preventing Slips and Falls” by Steve Spencer, FMA, Consultant
Few know slip and fall prevention better than Steve Spencer. With more than 38 years of experience, Steve Spencer is a specialist in cleaning and interior maintenance, retiring last year after 20 years with State Farm. A graduate of the University of Illinois, Steve is a member of IFMA and ISSA, served on the Antron End-User Advisory Board and serves on the National Floor Safety Institute Board of Directors and is chairman of the ANSI B101.1 committee. In this webinar, Steve will present various strategies for preventing situations and conditions that could result in a slip and fall incident at your facility.
June 15 - Mold Remediation 101: What You Need to Know When Remediating Mold Contamination by Rachel Adams, President, Indoor Environmental Management
From broken pipes to a major flood, no facility is exempt from developing mold growth. But when it comes to understanding the principles of mold remediation you don’t want to mess around. Knowing exactly how to set-up containment, manage air flow and cleaning techniques is critical to ensure that buildings are left in Condition 1 as per the S520. Rachel Adams is one of the best in the business and will help attendees understand the potential issues associated with microbial contamination and why proper remediation is critical.
Each webinar in this series is available to IEHA members at no cost, and to cleaning professionals who are not members of IEHA for the low rate of $25/session. Non-members who register for all four sessions will receive the discounted rate of $75. Individuals who have registered for the event but were not able to attend will receive access to the recording.
