Golbon, a leader within the Foodservice distribution industry with the power of 200-plus independent distributors, has entered into a 5-year agreement to join AFFLINK, the supply chain association of choice for independent distributors serving the Facilities Maintenance, Packaging and Office Products industries, on March 1, 2018.
The partnership is designed to strengthen Golbon's non-foods offering and provide their Members' access to a comprehensive bundle of programs and services in new growth channels.
"AFFLINK has a proven history of success in the market," says Tim Power, President of Golbon. "By tapping into their experience and expertise in the non-foods categories we will be able to provide greater backend programs and access into new channels that will keep our Members healthy, viable businesses for years to come."
In addition to managing the entire non-foods category for Golbon, AFFLINK will open access to alternative training programs, event management services, field sales teams, technology solutions, and a low barrier of entry in product sourcing that will generate additional revenue streams for both Golbon and traditional AFFLINK Members seeking to diversify into new categories.
"As buyer habits change and product channels blur, we must continue to move with our customers to remain relevant as independents," says Dennis Riffer, AFFLINK President & CEO. "One of the driving forces behind this decision was to expand opportunities for our existing Membership so that they can continue to surround customers with a comprehensive bundle of supply chain solutions."
Beginning March 1, 2018, Golbon Members will become Members of the AFFLINK organization, and will receive all benefits afforded to them as such.
