ABM, New York, was selected by Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma, to provide event-based maintenance for the university's 11 sports facilities. These venues include the university's nearly 57,000 seat T. Boone Pickens football stadium and Gallagher-Iba Arena, the oldest basketball arena in the Big 12.
"We're excited to partner with Oklahoma State University, and understand that we are being entrusted with a great responsibility," says Art Rodriguez, vice president, business and industry and head of sports and entertainment at ABM. "Oklahoma State's athletic facilities are not only an important facet of student life, but also, in many ways, the public face of the university. We are honored to support their maintenance and help the university ensure that those who use them enjoy coming back, time and time again."
The agreement expands ABM's portfolio in collegiate sports. The building service contractor also has accounts for 350-plus office buildings throughout the United States and various international locations.
"I've always been impressed by the high level of professionalism and expertise ABM has to offer,” says Kyle Waters, senior director of facilities at Oklahoma State University. “I believe these qualities will serve as the foundation of a strong partnership, and enhance the experience of those who work at, play in, and visit our athletic facilities.”
