Contracting Profits welcomed new building service contractors to its editorial advisory board in 2018.
Kathleen Bands is the vice president of My Cleaning Services, Inc., Baltimore, Maryland, which services the Maryland, Washington D.C., and Northern Virginia markets. She oversees all aspects of the business, ranging from the management team and quality control, to client outreach and the strategic direction of the firm. Upholding her family legacy, Bands is the third generation of My Cleaning Services. As an active BSCAI member, Bands is also the BSCAI Mid-Atlantic Chapter President.
Jim Veldkamp is the president of Master Klean Janitorial, Inc., Denver. During his 37 years at Master Klean, he has assembled a management team and office staff that has been working under his leadership for an average of 22 years. Veldkamp is a member of BSCAI, currently in his third year as a member of its Board of Directors. He is also a member of BOMA Denver and has served on its membership committee for more than 10 years. In addition, Veldkamp serves as a trustee representing the contractors on the SEIU Local 105 Health and Welfare Fund Board of Trustees.
Don Zerivitz is the president of Pro Clean Building Maintenance, Inc., Altamonte Springs, Florida. He founded his contract cleaning company in 1989 and has grown the company into a multi-million dollar business with 300-plus employees. Zerivitz was the driving force behind Pro Clean being the first contract cleaning company in Florida to achieve the national CIMS-GB with Honors Certification. In addition, he has previously served on BSCAI Board of Directors and an advisory board for ISSA.
Along with these additions, the Contracting Profits Advisory Board includes Nathalie Doobin, Harvard Services Group; Mary Miller, JANCOA; and Laurie Sewell, Servicon Systems.
Coming off the board following a two-year term were Eric Luke, Varsity Facility Services; Scott Stevenson, KleenMark; and Paul Senecal, AffinEco. Contracting Profits thanks these BSCs for their service.
