Meyer Laboratory Receives Family Business Award

Ingrams honored Meyer Laboratory, Blue Springs, Missouri, with one of its Family Business Awards. Ingrams is a business publication serving readers in Missouri and Kansas. This award recognizes family-owned companies that have demonstrated exceptional longevity and growth over their histories.

In 1978, Russ Meyer founded Meyer Supply, a chemical provider for businesses in rural Missouri. Over the next few years, he grew his market to cover the Midwest.

In 1987, the company became Meyer Laboratory and started manufacturing its own products custom designed by their company chemist to fill needs in janitorial, warehouses, food processing and other markets.

Today, Meyer Laboratory is led by Russ’ son Rusty and focuses on environmentally friendly chemical programs. In addition to serving customers in the United States, the company reaches the Canadian market with its Meyer of Canada branch.
