Whether you’re a facilities executive, an avid traveler or a loyal local, the 17th annual America’s Best Restroom Contest, hosted by Cintas Corporation, is looking for your view on the best public loo. Nominations are being accepted through July 9.

Following nominations, 10 finalists will be announced in August, based on cleanliness, visual appeal, innovation, functionality and unique design elements. The winner will receive the royal restroom treatment from Cintas with $2,500 in facility services or restroom cleaning to help maintain their award-winning restroom.

Make sure to share your favorite facility that dazzles in design and cleanliness.

“For nearly two decades, we’ve found some of the most stunning, awe-inspiring and quirky restrooms across the country. And we’re excited to begin the search once again,” said Sean Mulcahey, marketing manager at Cintas. “This contest recognizes businesses that put extra care, time and thought into their restrooms. The state of a restroom has the ability to turn customers away, or keep them coming back, so we want to highlight the importance of having and maintaining clean, innovative and fun restrooms.”

Last year, the OdySea Aquarium in Scottsdale, Arizona, won for its “jaws”-dropping design. Instead of a traditional mirror over the sinks, the aquarium’s restrooms include a gigantic acrylic window leading straight into Shark Waters – its largest exhibit.

“From Penguin Point to our SeaTrek Helmet Diving, we have countless amazing attractions, and now we can add our restrooms to that list,” said Dr. Amram Knishinsky, founder, OdySea Aquarium.
