A new commercial and residential cleaning business in Malabar, Florida, called Green Clean 4U is hoping to give back to two causes close to the owners. They are offering to clean homes for families in need for free. Each month Green Clean 4U is helping a new family that is dealing with serious illnesses.

The idea began when the Green Clean 4U co-owners went through some life-changing experiences and decided wanted to help others.

Eight years ago, Naomi and Carlos Herreros’ lives changed when their 3-year-old son, Emilio, was diagnosed with eye cancer. Their little boy had to undergo chemotherapy and radiation for two years.

Soon after, Carlos Herroros’ mother was diagnosed with advanced Alzheimer’s Disease and dementia.

Between doctor’s appointments, school and raising children, their house was a mess, the Herroros said in an article on Spectrum News 13. Cleaning was the last thing on their mind.

The couple created Green Clean 4U and decided that each month they would help a different family that is dealing with pediatric cancer or Alzheimer’s by cleaning their home for free.

Comparable services can cost anywhere between $120 and $300 depending on the size of the house. By offering the service, the couple said they hope to give families time to focus on the bigger obstacles they are meeting.
