The ISSA Show North America is coming to Dallas Oct. 29 through Nov. 1. Each day provides plenty of information that distributors, building service contractors and in-house cleaning facility managers can take back to improve their operations.
The week begins with a day dedicated to education, along with some great networking opportunities. Here are some of the highlights for Monday, Oct. 29.
Complacency Kills
Spotlight Speaker: David Goggins
9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
In need of motivation? David Goggins, a Navy SEAL and endurance athlete, will inspire attendees to achieve their personal bests. He’ll share stories from his real-life experiences that run the gamut of military missions, ultra-triathlons, mountain climbs and much more.
Goggins is the only member of the U.S. Armed Forces to complete SEAL training (including two Hell Weeks), the U.S. Army Ranger School and Air Force tactical air controller training. Outside of the military, Goggins has completed more than 50 endurance races, finishing in first place several times.
Lunch And Learn: State Of The Industry Panel
Speakers: Alonzo Adams, Jack McGurk, Laurie Sewell, Robert Tillis and Timothy Burgett
11:45 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Don’t let lunch get in the way of learning the information you need. During this special session, an industry-encompassing panel will discuss the current market, new trends and their thoughts on where cleaning is going in the future. All voices of the supply chain will be represented: supplier, distributor, building service contractor, in-house department and residential cleaner. This event requires an additional registration fee.
Team ISSA Welcome Reception
7:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.
The week’s Welcome Reception is hosted by ARCSI, IEHA and ISSA Canada. On opening night, guests can network with colleagues from around the world at the Fairmont Hotel. Complimentary snacks and beverages will be provided. During the event, the five ISSA Innovation Category Award winners will be announced.
Party For A Purpose
4 p.m. – 7 p.m.
Hosted by the new ISSA Charities, Party For A Purpose kicks off the week with a bit of fun. Party-goers can either come for the drinks and appetizers, play a quick round, or play in the serious Topgolf Tournament for bragging rights.
Topgolf Dallas has players hitting microchipped balls at different targets to score points for accuracy and distance. Anyone, from amateurs to pros, can play.
