Hill & Markes, a wholesale distributor servicing the state of New York and Vermont with industrial janitorial products, food service, packaging, clean foods and office supplies, has a new vice president of sales.

Colin Doherty joins Hill & Markes’ management team following a sales career at RJ Gile and Corporate Express. His past work earned him promotions to various sales management positions, including a tenure as vice president of sales at Corporate Express in the Oregon Market. In his most recent role, Doherty worked in sales management at Staples, Framingham, Massachusetts.

“Colin comes to Hill & Markes from a big corporate structure of Staples and brings a history of success in process improvement, analytic-based decision making, and discipline, while also offering the entrepreneurial qualities required from a regional business such as strategic thinking, agility, and an appetite for prudent risk taking,” says Jason Packer, CEO at Hill & Markes.
