A day porter working for the Los Angeles Rams received the gift of a lifetime when he was surprised with tickets to Super Bowl LIII in Atlanta. According to USA Today reporting, Rams wide receiver Brandin Cooks wanted to recognize some of the people that work behind the scenes and helped get the team to the big game, and day porter Alfonso Garcia pulled the lucky straw.
Garcia is responsible for maintaining the home team locker room, and his hard work and kindness has not gone unnoticed by Cooks.
When asked why he chose Garcia, Cooks told USA Today reporters, "Alfonso – the guy is special, man. He keeps our locker room in tip-top shape. He has such a special soul — someone that I found myself drawn to once I got there and I see him around the facility all the time. I just felt like it would be special for him to see that he is a part of this success as well, and I wanted him to be able to be at the Super Bowl with his son to enjoy that.”
Cooks surprised Garcia with two tickets (for him and his son Josh) to the game in Atlanta, as well as flight and hotel accommodations for the trip.
