A custodian and maintenance worker for an Illinois High School has penned an unpublished Christmas novel that is also being made into a cable television movie, reports WGN.
Rick Dunlap, who writes novels when he’s not working at Flossmoor High School in Flossmoor, Illinois, wrote a book called “The Christmas Tree Lot,” based on a Christmas tree lot located in a Chicago suburb. His agent approached Hallmark with the story, and they bought the rights to the holiday tale.
Just a few weeks before word of Dunlap’s success broke, it was announced that a movie is being made about the the man who created Flaming’ Hot Cheetos while working as a janitor at a Frito-Lay plant.
