A recently released survey sheds light on the work environments of the facility management industry, reports APPA.
More than 1,000 workers within the industry were questioned in the CORT survey which looked to identify the challenges companies face as they attempt to develop a more productive and accommodating work environment.
The survey found that the employee experience and employee well-being are improving at workplaces within the industry. More than 40 percent of those surveyed say they are interested in trends focused on employee health, such as the implementation of sit-to-stand desks, ergonomic seating and customizable lighting. An even higher amount of respondents say they support a mix of open and closed workspace offerings, so that they can work in both in private and in groups.
Offices might be getting a little more packed in 2020. Nearly 60 percent of responding businesses say they want to add more workers within the next 12 months — a sharp increase from what was said in 2018.
