Last week we shared news of an Alabama doctor who created a wristband that makes sanitizing hands easier. Well, it looks like the full-grown man with a medical degree just got outdone by a 9 year old.

Stephen Wamukota of Kenya received The Presidential Order of Service, Uzalendo Award from his president because the hand washing machine he made has helped his fellow citizens through the COVID-19 pandemic, reports Citizen Digital.

Wamukota's invention dispenses soap and water when someone's foot steps on its pedal. This pedal-induced pump allows people to wash up without touching any surface with their hands - a big issue in the spread of COVID-19.

Wamukota drew up instructions for his invention and built it with the assistance of his father. He says he plans to be an engineer when he grows up.
