BOMI International, the Independent Institute for Property and Facility Management Education, is announced in a press statement the hiring of Deidre A. Schexnayder as its manager, strategic partnerships.  

Schexnayder has an extensive background in the commercial real estate industry. For the past three years, she served as vice president, association services and research at BOMA International, where she directed three of BOMA's key commercial real estate programs: the annual Experience Exchange Reports (EER), the 360 Performance Plan building designation program, and The Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY) awards program that celebrates excellence in building management and operations. In addition, she directed association services through outreach to BOMA local associations promoting membership growth, retention, engagement and recruitment. Prior to her tenure at BOMA International, Schexnayder was with Vornado/Charles E. Smith Management LLC for 24 years, and last served as vice president, operations. 

“Deidre’s vast experience in the real estate industry, coupled with her extensive knowledge of BOMA Local initiatives, makes her an ideal fit for BOMI International and our partners,” said Jeffrey Horn, BOMI International’s president and CEO. 

As manager, strategic partnerships, Schexnayder will work with BOMI International’s BOMA Local partners to develop educational strategies for members and support the Locals’ initiatives in North America. She will also work with the company's university partners to create property, facility and system management paths for their students. Additionally, she will work cross-departmentally to assist in developing and launching new programs and services to meet ongoing client and partner needs.

“I am looking forward to representing BOMI International and working with our BOMA Local partners to achieve their educational goals,” said Schexnayder. “I achieved my RPA in 1996 and am excited to share the value of a BOMI education with others in commercial real estate.”
