A trio of students at Texas A&M University hope their invention will free everyone from having to open the inside of that public restroom door with a shirt, paper towel, and worst of all, a bare hand.

Austin Burt, Jorge Arroyo and Jack Cooper created Sanitary Pull, a hands-free door opener they claim is different than others being marketed because it requires less strain on the foot to operate, reports KBTX-TV.

Germs are in the public conscious like no other time in the last 100 years, and the students believe their invention will at least help their concern of coming into contract with germs just after their hands have been washed.

The Sanitary Pull is already being spotted at restaurants and stores around Bravos Valley, the county in which Texas A&M resides.
