Hill & Markes, a family-owned wholesale distributor, is fundraising for City Mission of Schenectady this holiday season through their Community Cares Merchandise store and the generosity of their passionate employees.

“We are thrilled to partner up with the City Mission this holiday season,” said Jill DeGiulio, human resource manager at Hill & Markes. “Giving back is something our employees are extremely passionate about and being able to support a family in need this Holiday Season, especially given the year we have had, is a true honor! Thank you to the City Mission for collaborating with us.”

The Hill & Markes Community Cares online store is open to the public until the end of the year and features Hill & Markes merchandise – sweatshirts, zip-ups, coffee mugs, and more. All proceeds from the sales of these items will benefit City Mission of Schenectady.

“As a Hill & Markes customer, we have seen the quality of the products they provide us. Even more importantly, as a community organization, we have seen their hearts for helping our neighbors in need and making a difference in the lives of the people we serve,” said Mike Saccocio, executive director at City Mission. “Through providing Christmas gifts for local families, donating specialized cleaning equipment and supporting fundraising events, we are grateful for our partnership with Hill & Markes."

Those who are not interested in purchasing any items from the Hill & Markes Community Cares store, but would like to contribute to City Mission of Schenectady, can still leave a donation option on the website. 

Giving back is important to the Hill & Markes mission and remains a core pillar of the company.
