young people working in an office

Nearly two-thirds (63 percent) of Americans working at home due to COVID-19 are read to return to the office, provided the right incentives and safety protocols are in place, according to a recent survey.

The survey was conducted by PromoLeaf, a company who, according to its website, creates promotional products to help businesses grow their brand. PromoLeaf asked remote workers what benefits and safety measures would entice them to return to the office, as well as what drawbacks they have experienced from working remotely during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Just over three-quarters (76 percent) of survey participants said they strongly prefer that daily temperature checks be given to employees at their place of work in the event of a return to the office. An even greater amount (91 percent) said they prefer that recoccupancy would entail less than 50 percent of workers returning to their office, with a preference being given to reoccupancy rates of 25 percent or less.

What survey participants miss most about office life is in-person meetings and face-to-face interaction with coworkers, 28 percent and 26 percent, respectively.
