Recently, the national restoration and remediation brand, PuroClean, led its first-ever Microbial Warrior training, a one-of-a-kind intensive industry course developed by Global Biorisk Advisory Council Certified Bio-Forensic Restoration Specialist and Certified Forensic Operator, Jeff Jones. Hosted by PuroClean’s Director of Training and Technical Services, Darren Hudema, this course specializes in teaching students how to restore property affected by bio-forensic and infectious agents. PuroClean was excited to be one of the first franchise organizations that Jones made this course available to.

By being part of this program, graduates are able to bring a refined skillset back to their communities and tackle more comprehensive forms of biohazard remediations. Attendees not only learned the techniques to properly handle pathogens, hoarding, crime scenes, human waste, and unexpected death, but were also required to confront difficult human elements and the psychology that goes with work like this as a part of the training process.

The skillset is not one that anyone wishes to have to use, but those who can perform those services do serve a very important role in the restoration industry and the reality of what communities face all over the country.

Global Biorisk Advisory Council Certified Bio-Forensic Restoration Specialist and Certified Forensic Operator Jeff Jones also led the course. With more than 46 years of field experience in Forensic Restoration, Jones is a former U.S. Army soldier, former SWAT team leader, and the youngest person to attend the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia. He is a past president of the Restoration Industry Association (RIA) and has served as chairman of its forensic council.
