Ecore, a company that transforms reclaimed materials into performance products that make people’s lives better, added to their record of sustainability recognitions with two new accolades. The company has been nominated for an international Recircle Award and was recently ranked a Sustainability Leader by the MindClick Environmental Health Index.
Based in Germany, the second annual Recircle Awards is a global event designed to recognize the contribution of companies and individuals within the tire manufacturing, retreading, and recycling industries towards a circular economy. Ecore has been nominated among some of the industry’s best companies in the “Best Tire Derived Recycled Product” category.
“We’re thrilled to receive this nomination as a nod towards our diligent pursuit of a more circular economy and a world free of rubber waste,” says Art Dodge III, CEO and president of Ecore. “We’re proud to be acknowledged among some of the biggest movers and shakers in the recycled products industry and will continue to work towards our commitment of reducing our environmental impact for a greener future.”
In addition, Ecore recently completed the MindClick Sustainability Assessment Program resulting in an impressive Sustainability Leader ranking. MindClick rates the environmental health performance of manufacturers and their products to help drive transparency and innovation across organizations and their supply chains to meet global demand for healthier products and healthier environments. As a Sustainability Leader, Ecore is being recognized for its use of environmental and social responsibility practices throughout the life cycle of all product lines — from material choice to end-of-life solutions — as well as all products carrying third-party certifications.
“At its core, Ecore is committed to using resources wisely and in a way that protects the quality of our environment and community. We’re proud of our Sustainability Leader rating and the opportunity to join a community that shares our goal of achieving a circular economy,” adds Dodge.
Further highlighting the company’s commitment to environmental sustainability, Ecore recently achieved environmental claim validations from Underwriters Laboratories (UL) for two of its manufacturing facilities after completing a 2020 Zero Waste to Landfill audit for its Pennsylvania-based facilities in Lancaster and York.
