Bobrick Washroom Equipment, Inc. has acquired longtime representative Sylvester & Associates. This strategic investment corresponds with the retirement announcement of Frederick E. Sylvester, founder and principal of Sylvester & Associates.
Sylvester & Associates supports the New York state and northern New Jersey markets, providing a full range of high-quality resources and consultation services to architects, designers, owners, property managers and distribution partners. For over 30 years, Sylvester & Associates have been experts in the family of Bobrick brands – crafting strategic, long-standing relationships and earning the trust of the architect and design community in these key markets.
To maintain continuity, a seamless transition and as little market disruption as possible, Bobrick has retained all Sylvester & Associates staff. This investment enables Bobrick to build on this group’s expertise and insights, keep well-established affiliations and expand its reach to provide high-quality, innovative solutions for projects in New York, New Jersey, and globally.
“It’s been a pleasure working with Fred, who has done a fantastic job working tirelessly developing a consultative relationship with the architect and design community and providing excellent customer satisfaction throughout his illustrious career,” says Clement Yoanidis, Bobrick’s director of Architectural Sales. “Sylvester & Associates has been paramount to architects and designers for 30+ years, advising them throughout the specification process to meet project needs and goals. We cannot thank Fred enough for his collaboration and contributions during our time together. We wish him the very best in his retirement journey.”
While Sylvester & Associates was founded in 1992, the Bobrick-Sylvester partnership dates back even further, as Sylvester’s father, Frederick U., was the second Bobrick representative ever appointed.
“The names Bobrick and Sylvester have been synonymous in New York and New Jersey for over 50 years,” said Sylvester. “This partnership is especially dear to me because I got to continue the work my father started. I know both sides have enjoyed working together and have prospered from this experience. I want to thank Bobrick for the many years of partnership, and I want to thank my staff for their great work over the years. I am confident that Bobrick will continue providing excellent customer service, support, and consultation. I know the architect and design community is in good hands. It’s time for the Sylvester side of this dynamic duo to slow down and try to relax.”
