Covenant 4M Team

St. Louis-based 4M Building Solutions announced the acquisition of Covenant Building Service, a premier provider of janitorial services in the Nashville, Tennessee metro area. This strategic acquisition strengthens 4M’s presence in the Nashville market, which it first entered in 2017.

Tim Murch, CBSE, 4M CEO and managing partner, said, “Nashville is a key market for 4M, and this acquisition strengthens our commitment to growth in the region. Covenant Building Service has a strong reputation for exceptional cleaning, which aligns with our mission of providing top-tier janitorial solutions. We’re excited to integrate their team and continue our pursuit of service excellence.”

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Covenant Building Service, based in Hendersonville, Tennessee, cleans 4 million square feet of space daily across a customer base of 55 accounts. Specializing in janitorial services, contract cleaning, floor care, tile and grout, pressure washing, and maintenance services, Covenant has served the Nashville area for 13 years.

“We are proud of what we’ve built at Covenant, and we’re excited about this new chapter with 4M,” said Jennifer Peyton, president of Covenant Building Service, a business she and her husband, Josh, co-founded in 2011. “Their infrastructure and resources will enable our team to thrive and provide even greater value to our clients. I’m confident that 4M’s leadership and vision will uphold the high standards we’ve always set for ourselves.”

Covenant Building Service will transition to the 4M Building Solutions brand immediately. Covenant’s Team Members will move to 4M’s Nashville offices and all operations, systems, and processes will be fully integrated, ensuring a seamless transition with no disruption to client services. The Peytons, local Nashville entrepreneurs, will consult with 4M during a several-month transition after the sale and then retire from the commercial cleaning business to focus on their other ventures.

4M entered the Nashville market in 2017 by acquiring Nashville-based Major Commercial Cleaning, followed by the acquisition of Ad-Vance Building Services Inc. in 2018.

“The Covenant acquisition supports our long-term strategy,” said Murch. “It strengthens our presence in the Nashville area, and our expanding infrastructure gives new and existing clients more opportunities to grow with us,” said Murch.
