The EPA’s Recommendations provide guidance for federal agencies to procure environmentally preferable products, helping meet sustainability goals outlined in Executive Order 14057, Catalyzing Clean Energy Industries and Jobs Through Federal Sustainability. This program supports federal agencies in selecting products that reduce harmful environmental and health impacts, promote circularity, and support net-zero emissions targets, including eliminating the procurement of products containing PFAS.
