One month has now passed since the devastating Palisades and Eaton fires swept across Los Angeles County, California, leaving heartbreak and destruction in their wake. As individuals and families work to heal and rebuild their lives, Tzu Chi USA's "Help Los Angeles Heal" wildfire relief mission continues to offer vital support and heartfelt compassion in this urgent time of need.
"To the wildfire survivors: All Tzu Chi members around the world feel your pain," expressed Stephen Huang, executive director of Tzu Chi Global Volunteers. "For the future, we will continue to assist and care for the impacted families — who genuinely need help."
As of Feb. 6, Tzu Chi's relief has reached 4,247 disaster survivors, providing $2,517,200 in cash card relief, alongside 2,003 warm DA.AI Technology eco-blankets, and more supplies like cleaning kits, clothing, and food, through multiple distribution events.
Tzu Chi has also been active in providing essential services to wildfire-affected households at the 2025 Wildfires Resource Hub over six consecutive days, from Monday, January 27, to Saturday, February 1, at the Kaiser Permanente medical offices in Pasadena. Through this service event, Tzu Chi's Vision Mobile Clinic team provided 226 pairs of prescription eyeglasses to 183 patients.
