Spartan Chemical Company, Inc. has expanded its national account team, announces the company in a statement.

As the industrial and institutional cleaning industry evolves, buying groups, purchasing organizations, and national corporations are playing a growing role, affecting an increasing percentage of purchase decisions. As a result, Spartan Chemical has appointed Lannie Lohnes as director of healthcare in the company’s national account team, led by David Reed, vice president, national accounts.

“Increasingly, we are seeing more and more national account opportunities,” says John Swigart, president, Spartan Chemical Company. “In response to this important market dynamic, Spartan is expanding our team, enabling incremental growth across our distribution network.”

Lohnes began his career in the I&I cleaning industry 20 years ago with Nogg Chemical and Paper in Sioux City, Iowa. Through a series of acquisitions and promotions, Lohnes was eventually promoted to director of national accounts for Interline Brands, Inc., in Jacksonville, Florida where he focused on the growth of the company’s healthcare business.

In 2015, Interline Brands, Inc. was purchased by The Home Depot and Lohnes was promoted to director of sales for their national account team concentrating on the lodging and hospitality strategy.

Lohnes is a graduate of Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa with a bachelor of arts in business administration and management and a minor in business education.
