O2 Investment Partners announced that 4M Building Solutions has appointed Steve Mastin as chief financial officer and Andrew Rust as head of Corporate Development and M&A.
Judy Botz will continue in her role as CFO of 4M Building Solutions, while Mastin will oversee financial operations for the broader 4M platform, which also includes LCS Facilities Group (acquired September 2023) and Horizon Services Corp. (acquired March 2024). Mastin comes to 4M with over 20 years of experience in various senior finance, accounting, and CFO roles. Most recently, Steve was the vice president of Finance for Team Services Group, a sponsor-backed provider of self-directed home care and domestic workers nationwide.
Andrew Rust will oversee corporate development and acquisitions internally and manage 4M’s extensive pipeline of opportunities. Rust comes to 4M with more than a decade of experience leading mergers and acquisitions throughout the U.S. Most recently, he was Chief Financial Officer and Head of M&A for Granite Comfort, a New York-based consolidator of residential HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical Contractors.
Tim Murch, CEO of 4M, commented, “We are thrilled to welcome Steve Mastin and Andrew Rust to the 4M Exceptional Family. Steve and Andrew will be instrumental in the next phase of 4M’s growth as we look to become the leading independent commercial cleaning and janitorial platform in the U.S.”
Sean Darin at O2 commented, “Our original thesis that the commercial janitorial market is heavily fragmented and ripe for consolidation has already proven itself out – the platform has already completed four acquisitions since we invested at the end of 2022. Andrew Rust is an experienced M&A practitioner and will help us even further supercharge our acquisition activity as we move into the future.” He added, “Steve Mastin is a heavily experienced CFO who we believe will be instrumental in driving the integration required with our significant volume of acquisition activity. Both he and Andrew [Rust] have already hit the ground running and we couldn’t be happier to have them on board.”
