Kathy Stanton ACI

Kathleen Stanton, associate vice president, Technical & International Affairs at the American Cleaning Institute (ACI) has been appointed to the Industry Trade Advisory Committee on Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals, Health/Science Products and Services (ITAC 3).

The Committee provides detailed policy and technical advice, information, and recommendations to the Secretary of Commerce and the United States Trade Representative (USTR) regarding trade barriers, negotiation of trade agreements, and implementation of existing trade agreements affecting its sectors; and performs such other advisory functions relevant to U.S. trade policy as may be requested by the Secretary of Commerce and the USTR or their designees.

As a member of the Committee, Stanton will represent ACI and the U.S. cleaning product supply chain, showcasing ACI’s technical and scientific expertise.

“I am honored to be appointed to this Committee and to provide key perspective on behalf of an essential and innovative industry,” says Stanton.

In her role at ACI, Stanton manages international and environmental health and safety related issues and activities of concern to ACI members and stakeholders. She identifies and prioritizes international, national, and state environmental, and regulatory initiatives that require action by the industry and develops and coordinates ACI’s response to the issues, as appropriate. With the aid of industry experts, Stanton prepares ACI positions, policies, briefings and technical evaluations addressing legislation and regulation with regard to international and environmental health and safety issues. She directs the development of tools and information for assessing the occurrence and impacts of cleaning product ingredients in the environment. In addition, she manages the expansion of ACI’s collaboration with organizations internationally.
